“The Regional finals of TCS TechBytes – IT Quiz” was
inaugurated at S.D.M College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad in
collaboration with TCS TechBytes, on 28/04/2024.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and the Board for IT
Education Standards (BITES), an autonomous body promoted by the Government of
Karnataka in association with IT industries and educational institutions,
conducted Dharwad Regional finals of TCS TechBytes-IT Quiz at SDM College of
Engineering and Technology, Dharwad on March 28,2024. The program was inaugurated by Ms. Shoba
Murthy, GM -TCS Bengaluru.
Prof. Vasudev Parvati, PRO, SDMCET, spoke about the
importance of TCS TechBytes and mentioned that this Quiz will help the students
from all branches to have a good knowledge of IT-Basics and present trends in
IT. Dr. Ramesh L. Chakrasali, Principal, in his presidential remarks mentioned
about the culture of excellence brought in by TCS, which is vital in today’s
competitive environment.
Dheeraj Angadi from KLE MS Sheshagiri college of engineering
and technology, Belagavi won the first prize and the runner-up Makam Sujith
from IIIT, Dharwad. They received
vouchers worth Rs 12,000 and 14,000 respectively. The winner will go on to
represent Dharwad region at the State Finals which will be held in Bengaluru.
Dr. S. R. Biradar, Dr. S V Viraktamath and Prof. Anand Pashupatimath coordinated the
event and Dr. Bhargav H K, Program Lead, BITES was also present on the
occasion. Prof. Indira Umarji compered the program. Dr. Rajashekharappa, Dr. Basavaraj were the organizing Committee Member.
